About Me - Margaret Thomson Personal Tainer from Hamilton

Having worked for over 25 years in one occupation, Margaret Thomson was in need of a new challenge and decided to combine her interest in keeping fit and healthy into a new career. Following recommendations of a couple of friends, Margaret enrolled at AUT, working through several aspects of fitness to achieve the Certificate in Personal Training in 2009.
A few years ago Margaret took up Nordic Walking with the idea of using it for exercise while back in Scotland visiting family. Margaret loved the activity so much, and could see the potential health benefits to so many people, that she became a leader with NOWANZ (Nordic Walking Association of New Zealand). Margaret is now able to offer clients varied options to help them achieve their fitness and health goals, whether they like working out in a gym, at home, or want to get the most out of simply walking.
While studying, Margaret began to help with an exercise group for people with multiple sclerosis and became passionate about providing a service for less able people, whether it is due to illness, injury, age or just lack of exercise.
Make the decision and take action to change your lifestyle now… You won’t regret it
